This page is provided to further communicate important business of the City of Sac City. The posting, or omission in posting, of public notices at this location does not fulfill or create a deficiency in meeting the minimum noticing requirements under Iowa Code or any other applicable law.

**THE CITY OFFERS ONLINE BILL PAYMENT VIA CREDIT, DEBIT OR ECHECK. TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT, CONTACT THE CITY OFFICE AT 662-7593.

The City of Sac City will be picking up residents’ Christmas trees during the month of January. Please remove all decorations (including aluminum icicles) and have no wires, stands, or tree bags on the tree. Have your trees by the curb first thing in the morning for pickup (7:00 a.m.). If you have any questions, please call the City Office at 662-7593.

GENERAL NOTICES

Burning of yard waste is only allowed during the months of April, May, October and November.
Yard waste is collected curbside on the first and third Mondays of each month. A red tag is required for each bag of yard waste.
Parking on the city right of way (typically the area between sidewalk and street) is not allowed.
Grass clippings cannot be blown into the street, as they clog the storm sewer system.

FIREWORKS

Fireworks may only be discharged July 1-8 from Noon to 10pm and July 4 from Noon to 11pm. Those under the age of 18 need adult supervision. It is illegal to discharge in public places or when intoxicated. Read the full ordinance below.
