This page is provided to further communicate important business of the City of Sac City. The posting, or omission in posting, of public notices at this location does not fulfill or create a deficiency in meeting the minimum noticing requirements under Iowa Code or any other applicable law.

GENERAL NOTICES

Burning of yard waste is only allowed during the months of April, May, October and November.
Yard waste is collected curbside on the first and third Mondays of each month. A red tag is required for each bag of yard waste.
Parking on the city right of way (typically the area between sidewalk and street) is not allowed.
Grass clippings cannot be blown into the street, as they clog the storm sewer system.

FIREWORKS

Fireworks may only be discharged July 1-8 from Noon to 10pm and July 4 from Noon to 11pm. Those under the age of 18 need adult supervision. It is illegal to discharge in public places or when intoxicated. Read the full ordinance below.
